SUMMARY
Raising a child with ADHD is often complicated, and being a child with ADHD is also REALLY hard. The constant redirections, the social struggles, and the low self-esteem can have the ADHD child feeling like they’re broken. “What’s wrong with me?” Is the recurring question in their mind? But what if we flip the script? As parents and caregivers, let’s show kids that their brain is not broken; it’s BRILLIANT. Compared to their neurotypical peers, they have a faster brain and must learn how to drive it. Today we talk with author Peter Shankman about his journey to engage his faster brain and help parents teach their kids how to use what he calls “an amazing gift.”
